Hojicha Banana + Coconut Cream Oat Latte
Share
This latte leans into everything hojicha does best at the end of the day — low caffeine, warm and toasty, and gentle enough to sip slowly. Coconut cream and oats add a rounded, nourishing base, making this less of a "treat" and more of a wind-down ritual: something to make once the day is done and there's nowhere left to be.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Queen Omi Hojicha Powder
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 3/4 cup oat milk
- 1/4 cup coconut cream
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup, or to taste
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk the hojicha powder with hot water until fully dissolved into a smooth concentrate.
- In a blender, combine the oat milk, coconut cream, banana, and sweetener. Blend until smooth and frothy, about 20–30 seconds.
- Pour the blended mixture into a small saucepan and warm gently over low heat, stirring occasionally — don't let it boil.
- Stir in the hojicha concentrate until fully combined.
- Pour into a mug, dust with cinnamon if using, and serve warm.
Note: For a chilled version, skip the saucepan step and blend everything (including the hojicha concentrate) with a handful of ice.
