Hojicha Golden Hour Latte
Share
There's a reason turmeric lattes became a wellness staple — warm spice, a golden hue, and a sense of slowing down. This version swaps the usual black pepper-and-milk base for hojicha, adding a toasty, roasted depth that turmeric alone doesn't have. The result is a latte that feels less like a trend and more like a ritual: something to make slowly, in a quiet moment, with both hands wrapped around the mug.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Queen Omi Hojicha Powder
- 2 tbsp hot water
- 1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)
- 1/2 tsp ground turmeric
- Pinch of black pepper (helps the body absorb turmeric's curcumin)
- 1 tsp honey, or to taste
Instructions
- Whisk the hojicha powder with hot water until fully dissolved into a smooth concentrate.
- In a small saucepan, warm the oat milk over low heat until steaming (don't boil).
- Whisk in the turmeric and black pepper directly into the warm milk.
- Add the hojicha concentrate and honey, whisking until fully combined and frothy.
- Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
Note: For an extra-frothy top, use a milk frother or blend the finished latte for 10 seconds before pouring.
